Major Project Completion – New Mixed Gas Cylinder Filling System & Automated Gravimetric Cylinder Filling System

IGAS has just completed a brand new Cylinder Filling facility for Yara Praxair AS in Oslo, Norway in September 2007. Yara Praxair AS awarded the programme to IGAS on a full ‘turnkey’ basis. The project was successfully completed in Yara’s all new cylinder filling building based in Oslo.

IGAS executed the project in two main project phases; Design Phase 1 & Build/Commission Phase 2. This successful approach allows full Client interaction to the design phase, ensuring a designed system to the Clients exact requirements.

The complete project included two major filling systems; Mixed Gas Cylinder Filling System & Automatic Gravimetric Cylinder Filling System. Also including; Vessels, Pumps & vaporiser farms for all industrial gases.

The mixed gas filling system incorporates the latest generation of IGAS’s cylinder filling plant range, ensuring maximum productivity and economical use of equipment and assets. The automated gravimetric system was designed and built using the most unique and enterprising concepts for reducing the physical demands on cylinder filling operatives.

Two fundamental features of this unique project that were always a focus to IGAS through the design, build and commissioning phases were; safety & clients improved productivity for cylinder filling. Both essential requirements were met in full without question and delivered with approval.

All work was completed to budget and to timescale resulting in a completely satisfied customer, ensuring IGAS remains a key strategic supplier to Yara Praxair AS in providing their technology needs.
