H2 Trailer Filling for the Hamburg Green Hydrogen Hub

20 / 03 / 2026

The Hamburg Green Hydrogen Hub is building a 100 MW electrolyser at the former Moorburg coal plant. With the foundation stone laid in December 2025, the plant is on course to produce approximately 10,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year, serving Hamburg’s port, industry, and transport sectors.

iGAS is proud to be working alongside Kraftanlagen Energies & Services on this project.

The German company Kraftanlagen Energies & Services has been commissioned by HGHH for the full planning, delivery, and construction of the Balance of Plant and Trailer Loading Station.

Within the trailer loading station, iGAS plays its role: delivering the complete hydrogen trailer filling infrastructure that will allow the produced green hydrogen to reach customers across the distribution network.

At iGAS, we have always said that H2 trailer filling is not a bolt-on process. It is an integrated, operationally critical part of any modern hydrogen production and distribution network.

For HGHH, our scope reflects Equipment, Engineering and Control.

This is not our first large-scale H2 trailer filling project. Want to know more about our H2 Trailer and MEGC Filling solutions? Our product brochure covers configurations, safety design, key features, and references in detail.

Our customers trust us because we bring not just engineering, but decades of operational knowledge from inside the industrial gas industry. That experience is what our customer demanded. And that is what we are delivering.
