About the Role:
We are seeking a capable and experienced Senior Technical Sales Engineer / Manager. This role combines Sales and Engineering and the successful candidate will be skilled in making strategic decisions, an expert communicator, able to build relationships and have superb technical knowledge, playing a key role in ensuring our business priorities and clients needs are consistently met through proactive engagement and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement and Communication: Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Support the sales cycle: Deliver presentations, promote products and offer demonstrations, as appropriate.
  • Solution Selling: Translate technical features, tailoring solutions to client needs.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor sales engineers or technical account managers, and collaborate with teams.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute plans to penetrate new markets or expand existing accounts.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up to date with product developments, industry trends, have commercial awareness and monitor competitor offerings.
  • Project Coordination: Give timescales and manage client expectations.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Deep understanding of engineering products, services and technology.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Be confident in delivering presentations and proposals to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage long, complex sales cycles.
  • Experience with using market insight and performance metrics to refine sales strategies.
  • Adept in stakeholder engagement.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a similar role.
