NIGP Project Enters the Installation Phase

November 26th, 2010

Back in May iGAS had the pleasure in announcing that National Industrial Gas Plants (NIGP) had awarded iGAS the full ‘turnkey’ project of installing a new filling plant at their new facility in Doha, Qatar. iGAS are once again pleased to announce that the project has entered the construction phase and things are progressing well.

Earlier this month, Rob Lee and Richard Browne, attended the site in Qatar to check on the progress of the installation. Upon arriving at site, it was clear that things were moving along swiftly and the installation was taking shape. The filling modules had been erected along with the walk-way that runs around the modules. During the visit, the valve module and PLC panel got dropped into place, helping to further bring the 3D model, that had been produced way back at the beginning of the project, to life.

With this project iGAS are utilising a new filling module, including a new hose pulley system that aims to eliminate the strain exerted on the hoses. The new design allows for a greater density of hoses per module and provides maximum flexibility with regards to pallet filling. It has a new logical hose isolation design, so if a leak is detected on a hose, that individual hose can be isolated without affecting the entire fill module, allowing for filling to continue whilst the hose is replaced.

With the filling modules and valve skid in situ, work will begin on the installation of the pipework and electrical connections. The installation is planned to continue for the next month, and commissioning will begin in December or early in the New Year.

iGAS and GCE Working Partnership

June 22nd, 2010

iGAS and GCE are working together to bring additional expertise in the supply of “turnkey” gas distribution solutions offered by iGAS, along with the extensive range of equipment GCE has to offer, in order to meet the demands of the customers of today.

GCE manufactures gas management solutions for many applications from heavy industrial, medical and aviation through to high purity gases. GCE currently suppliers equipment to users around the globe and have the capability to meet the demands required for individual country regulations, legislations and fittings. iGAS saw this as a benefit and are now able to offer generic gas distribution system solutions anywhere in the world and are still able to meet those local requirements.

iGAS & GCE have already collaborated on several projects and many more are currently in the pipe-line; several of which will be bespoke solutions designed and manufactured to the customers’ specific needs in GCE’s own facility. With individual members of both GCE and iGAS having worked many years for large gas companies, together we can offer the end user a level of experience and expertise rarely found in the wordl today, thus bringing a unique ability to offer solutions that meet and exceed your needs.

UK Trade & Investment Supporting iGAS’s International Growth

June 2nd, 2010

Marketing and selling into new geographies is always a significant challenge, especially for an SME (Small and Medium-sized Enterprise) such as iGAS Technology Solutions. Challenges that are faced, to mention just a few, include: cultural differences, where to make the correct contacts and where best to spend limited marketing budgets.

Following a significant volume of enquiries and some interesting business opportunities in the Gulf area and also South-East Asia, we decided that we were going to focus our efforts in international growth in these areas.

To make sure we were best prepared to tackle these new markets we enlisted the support of the United Kingdom Trade & Investment (UKTI) and in particular their excellent support facilities towards exporting.

Over the last six months the UKTI, represented by our local advisor, have supported us in the two key markets we identified. Aided by their support we are now successfully doing significant business in both regions.

What is next? Another new region is being investigated through the UKTI’s OMIS (Overseas Market Introduction Service) scheme, which if successful will see us move into yet another region.

“UKTI is delighted to help any UK company who wants to begin or expand its export activities with a range of support services that range from mentoring through to subsidised schemes and even trade funding that underpin planned and focused growth.  The success of iGAS is something we feel proud to be associated with” (Steve Polkinghorne – UKTI)
